if youre in school, reading, writing and passing exams, without ever taking a moment to ponder your future or the meaning of life, youre part of a long line of zombies moving in one direction

School doesn’t kill creativity if the education system is right, like freedom of writing of a topic and what interested you can take and homework are more fun if you give kids something back for what they do and you give them freedom about the topic

This guy forgets that loss of creativity as people grow older (also) is because of the brain development. Children (and people with autism, and maybe some other types of people that I don’t know about) have lots and mixed up brain connections which are very adaptive. This causes a chaotic but creative way of thinking. As most of us grow older, however, our brain connections get more in order, less adaptable etc and therefore we get less creative…

I’m not against this video tho; the guy still has a point. Though stuff like art classes won’t really let people’s creativity (as far as we have it; let’s not overestimate ourselves) prosper, I’m afraid; art is also prettty conformistic, especially in class.

The IDEAL solution is of course to go back to be hunters & gatherers. All of this mess traces back to that disaster called the Agricultural Revolution, I’m afraid.

Education has become a way to indoctrinate children. These children have become brainwashed adults. Brainwashed adults can’t think.
